All classes are led on a voluntary basis by experienced meditation practitioners, who will give practical help and advice on any obstacles you are facing with your individual meditations, as well as explain any concepts you’re unclear on.
A normal class will range from 1-1.5 hours long, depending on the location, and will mostly consist of several group meditations. Often included are further cleansing techniques, discussions of key concepts, and workshops where experienced meditation practitioners give individual attention to class attendants to help them progress in their personal meditations.
Each class is entirely unique, depending on the needs of the group and is up to the discretion of the practitioner leading the class. With Sahaja Yoga there is no hierarchy or qualifications to be achieved; the only measure of your growth is the depth of your meditation and how you feel within. Every group session is a great opportunity to experience something new and see how you can improve your individual meditations at home.
How much does it cost?
Sahaja Yoga Meditation classes are always 100% free of charge. Why? Because to know your True Self is the right of every human being. Self-Realisation is not a man-made thing. It is a living, spontaneous process. Anyone leading a Sahaja Yoga class is there as a volunteer, simply out of their desire to share the knowledge which has lead them towards a better life.
What do I bring?
No equipment is required, and seating will be provided. All you need is an open mind and the desire to go within.
Do I need to have meditated before?
No! Sahaja Yoga meditation classes are usually suitable for first-timers, unless clearly stated in the class title e.g. ‘Advanced Class’.
